How to Use?
- Clean and dry the affected area
- Apply a thin layer of Tacoseal 0.03 Ointment to the affected area
- Use as directed by your physician
Dosage
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin areas twice daily; continue for one week after clearance of symptoms. Use the lowest effective dose for maintenance therapy as directed by a physician.
Safety Advice
- Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen and protective clothing to treated areas during sun exposure
- Avoid consuming alcohol during treatment to prevent flushing reactions
- Wash hands thoroughly before and after application unless hands are the treated area
- Do not use occlusive dressings over treated areas
- Report any signs of skin infection such as increased redness, warmth, or discharge to your physician
Precautions
- Not recommended for children under 2 years of age
- Avoid prolonged continuous use; use intermittently for long-term management
- Do not apply on infected, ulcerated, or broken skin
- Avoid exposure to natural or artificial sunlight on treated areas
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tacrolimus or macrolides
- Use with caution in immunocompromised patients
- Not recommended during pregnancy unless clearly necessary
- Avoid application near eyes or mucous membranes
