Product Description
Tacoseal 0.1 Ointment is a topical immunomodulating formulation containing Tacrolimus, used for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory skin conditions. It works by suppressing overactive immune responses in the skin, thereby reducing redness, itching, and inflammation without causing skin thinning associated with corticosteroids. This higher-strength ointment is generally prescribed for adults and provides effective long-term disease control when used as directed. Intended for external use only, it is suitable for sensitive skin areas under medical supervision.

Uses

How to Use?
- Clean and dry the affected area
- Apply a thin layer of Tacoseal 0.1 Ointment to the affected area
- Use strictly as directed by your physician
Dosage
Apply a thin layer to affected skin areas twice daily; continue for one week after clearance of symptoms. Use the minimum effective dose for maintenance therapy as directed by physician.
Safety Advice
- Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen and protective clothing to minimize sun exposure
- Wash hands thoroughly after application unless hands are the treated area
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth
- Report any new skin infections or unusual skin changes to your physician promptly
- Do not use on open wounds or acutely infected skin
Precautions
- Not recommended for use in children under 16 years at 0.1% strength
- Avoid use on malignant or pre-malignant skin conditions
- Do not apply on areas of active skin infection
- Avoid prolonged continuous use; use intermittently under medical supervision
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tacrolimus or macrolides
- Avoid exposure to natural or artificial sunlight during treatment
- Use with caution in immunocompromised patients
- Do not use under occlusive dressings

- Burning or stinging sensation at application site
- Pruritus at application site
- Skin erythema
- Increased susceptibility to skin infections
- Folliculitis
- Alcohol intolerance (facial flushing with alcohol consumption)
- Herpes simplex reactivation
- Headache
